TweetAgora v2.1 has just been approved & released on the App Store, and frankly we’re ecstatic about it! Here’s a rundown of all the cool new stuff it brings:
• Improved UI: Less middling-brown, more dark-leather / Louis Vuitton
• Share Agoras with your followers: Search for the #SharedAgora hashtag to find shared Agoras (requires TweetAgora v2.1)
• Gap detection in Agoras: “Load More Tweets” button when there are timeline gaps
• Configurable timeline swipe actions: Currently, swiping left on a tweet will perform a reply action, and swiping right will perform a retweet action. Now you can go to Settings > TweetAgora, and assign either swipe to reply, retweet, view user profile, or view link
• View full sized avatars: Tap an avatar from the user profile to see the full-sized version
• Improved Instapaper and ReadItLater integration: Send to Instapaper/Read it Later from the tweet view
• Paper.li added to Filters page: No more annoying paper.li tweets! (full version only)
• Improved performance and bug fixes: Faster initial loading, beter overall performance & stability
• Improved power consumption: TweetAgora’s already-low power consumption is even lower
• URL Scheme integration: TweetAgora can now be launched using ta:// links – we use these (shortened by tinyurl) to share agoras, but there are lots of other things they can do – we’ll write a follow-up post on these soon
So please, grab the latest version of TweetAgora and start sharing those Agoras!
TweetAgora is one of the best Twitter clients for iPhone hands down. A few things I miss:
- slicker interface with smaller avatars (maybe make it an option?) so I can see more tweets per screen;
- picture/video/location preview when viewing a tweet;
- expand a short URL (bit.ly, etc) before I actually open it (for example, tap-and-hold on a URL will show the full URL and the option to open or copy it).
Keep it up! Regards.
